Meet Alicia Johnson...
Alicia Johnson is an ambitious and tech oriented woman, she has been able to travel as a digital nomad for close to a decade; during which time, she became yacht crew and sailed all over the Caribbean. A native of the seafaring town of Gloucester, Massachusetts, she graduated of College of Charleston in 2011 and holds an AB in History and a BA in Classics.
From backpacking, sailing, to camping, a myriad of experiences has pushed her into the career path of social media marketing and content creation as she was often the only tech savvy individual in an area. Her computer and social media skills enabled her to continue traveling and begin my graduate studies in Egypt. At this point, she has finished her Master's courses and is working on her thesis research in the Red Sea regarding preservation of historic shipwrecks.
An avid underwater photographer and videographer, Alicia has appeared in multiple documentaries as an Expert on Ancient History and has film credits behind the camera as well.
How do you connect with water?
Favorite quote about water: “I can see you have a great deal of water in your personality. Water never waits. It changes shape and flows around things, and finds the secret paths no one else has thought about -- the tiny hole through the roof or the bottom of the box. There's no doubt it's the most versatile of the five elements. It can wash away earth; it can put out fire; it can wear a piece of metal down and sweep it away. Even wood, which is its natural complement, can't survive without being nurtured by water. And yet, you haven't drawn on those strengths in living your life, have you?”

What fuels your love for the ocean?
Alicia’s favorite part about ocean is its infinite vastness which encapsulates so many moments of mankind’s collective memory. She is inspired by the ocean’s influence on literature, art, and music and contemplating how the imagery of the oceans is used to represent various experiences and emotions.
