Meet Clint Gallaron...
I'm a fisheries and coastal resource scientist and marine conservationist. I work in the intersection of marine biodiversity conservation and indigenous rights. I am currently working with the Tagbanwa in Palawan, Philippines, to highlight their stewardship of their ocean territories.
How do you connect with water?
I find my way to connect with water by forging deep connections with the people who live by it. Discovering shared experience with water and water bodies foster my sense of belonging to the world.
What fuels your love for the ocean?
My favourite thing about the ocean is that it contains the greatest dichotomy of nature – life-nourishing for those who embrace it and a bringer of death and destruction for those unfortunate.
