Queer Scottish Sea Stories with Niall Moorjani at Porty Fest
Niall Moorjani shared three powerful Scottish sea stories at Porty Fest with SeaVoice — each one rich with feeling, folklore, and a fresh perspective. A queer Scottish storyteller with a deep love of myth and the natural world, Niall brings old tales to life in thoughtful and unexpected ways.
The first story told of a Kelpie that no girl, boy, man, or woman could tame — ending with a twist. The second explored the selkie as a symbol of transformation, and what it means to move between identities in today’s world. The third, an original piece by Niall, reflected on what it means to carry the weight of the world.
Check out these stories as they were told at Porty Fest below — and look out for more to come from Niall and SeaVoice.
